We are an established and credited company which was started in Nelson Mandela Bay by Benito Carelsen, who
has worked in the Industry for many years with media companies like the SABC, Super Sport and
ETV. Our aim for the company is to address the need for Film Productions and Skills Development in
the Eastern Cape that will create jobs for the Industry and tell our stories.

Our Vision is to create a Film Industry in Nelson Mandela Bay, Eastern Cape, that will grow and form part of the International Industry. Creating work, training and making the Film Industry sustainable for all Industry players. Our mission for the company is to develop the Film Industry through shooting Television Films and selling it to National and International broadcasters.
BLC Entertainment is a Production Company and an Accredited Institution offering Internship and Skills Development Programmes, MS in Film and Television Production and NQF level 4, acquiring a certificate from MICT SETA.
BLC Entertainment proudly presents a School & Institution Smartphone Film Competition. The purpose of this competition is to address as well create awareness on the social issue of cyber bullying especially amongst teenagers. This initiative also serves as an opportunity for aspiring filmmakers to exercise their creativity by sharing fresh and newsworthy content. This competition is open for all schools and institutions in the Eastern Cape. Amazing prizes are up for grabs; one of which is a fully funded NQF Level 4 learnership programme in Television and Film Production at our institution and a R5000 cash prize! BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR OPENING DATES WHICH ARE ON 2nd OCTOBER UNTIL THE 30TH OF OCTOBER.
BLC Entertainment is an accredited Film & Television Institution which offers a full NQF4 Course in Film and Television production. The course covers several modules such as scriptwriting, camera, lighting, recording & editing sound as well as editing visuals. Aspiring filmmakers would gain the skills and knowledge needed to grow as professionals within the film industry. We provide a creative space for aspiring filmmakers to feed their passion and ultimately contribute to the film industry of South Africa.
